Okay, here’s the thing. I see Christmas pretty much as a tie to stress out (family issues. Rawr.) and decorate. The last bit is possibly the only reason why I like it at ALL anymore, actually.

But Mum refuses to put our tree up. At all. And I don’t have space for the family tree in my room, so I can’t put it up in here (plus, seriously, who wants to work out if red or green goes at the bottom?) and the only tree I’ve found downtown that I liked was a, $50 and b, still too big.

So I’m trying to work out a handmade version, but I’m honestly stumped. Does anyone have any ideas? Preferably ones I can move away from my cats reach? I wouldn’t mind something I could get away with making ornaments for all year… It’s soothing.

I love Christmas Trees, they just makes the holiday, all warm and glow-y at night! I have a couple of small sized ones that maybe go up to your knees, is that too small?

Not too small, no, but the ones that size here tend to look awful... which is more depressing than festive. :/

This one year, dad and I couldn't afford a big tree, so we got a ten dollar tree at Walmart and put it up. Is 50 dollars seriously the cheapest/smallest thing they have? I'd keep searching, there has to be something somewhere.

Other ideas.. hmm. Well, you could go out and fine a pine tree-- wait, do you guys have pine trees? o.O; If you do, go find a baby one or cut down a branch of it. It's not the same but it'll do the trick.

What about origami? If you can get your hand on a large sized peice of paper, just upscale one of these small ones here. Or make something like this. There are plenty of creative ways to get around it.

No, it's not the cheapest/smallest, but all the small trees here look bad and make me want to die a little inside. :/

We do have pines. We don't use them for Christmas trees xD I'd feel back hacking up a real tree just to decorate.

Thise are nice! But... sadly not practical :/ the main reason I want a Christmas Tree is so I can decorate it, tinsel, ornaments, etc.
